Default Hood pins question.

I am looking at purchasing a carbon fiber hood and I was wondering if I really do need hood pins? Just wanted to ask and see what you guy's opinions are. Thanks!

You don't NEED them, but I would recomend them, with them being so light, if air catches it just right it could possible break and fly off. One of my buddy's broke after having it for a couple months, another kid I know has had his on for a couple years with no issues. Hit and miss I guess.

You don't need them but I'd get them just for insurance. Never know when your oem latch might break. You'd be suprised how much damage the hood flying open at 120mph can do.

That's good to know. As everyone said insurance is always good. My hood latch seems perfectly fine still, but I will still purchase hood pins just in case.

I personally will never use hood pins again, mine had ripped in half as we were going down the highway, maybe they were just a bad pair idk

But its really up to you man, good luck
