Honda Accord brake disc corroded or defective
A year ago I replaced my wife brake discs to her Honda Accord V4 Ex year 2000 and everything was fine until recently she felt like her car was not braking steadily. I removed the wheels to find a big surprised as you could see holes, cavities or kind of caverns forming all around in the disc or rotor flat surface where the pads are suppose to squeeze to make it stop. I try to attach some images but apparently I cannot do so.
I have never seen this before. Is this a defective part and it rarely happens and I should get a free replacement from the Honda parts supplier that sold them to me.
I appreciate your helps and comments.

it could happen if
1. you don't drive your car for a long time
2. your brake pads aren't compressing against the caliper and so corrosion doesn't get rubbed off the rotor daily

Hi, thanks for all the replys. It is definitive a defective rotor, but it was purchased from hondapartsnow.com and it came in original honda parts boxes and inside the box in plastic sealed bags.

I've only seen that happen on a car that was sitting for a few years in an area with high humidity. That pitting looks pretty deep. Just have them replaced, preferably with a quality brand. Brembo, Centric, Raybestos, Wagner, etc.
Hi answers in summary:
I use what everyone is suppose to use "Brake Cleaner".
Over 10 years changing pads and rotors "brake quiet" obviously between pad and caliper.
I live away of beach areas more than 80 miles away.
Rotors where purchased from hondapartsnow and came with original packaging.
Please help me out looking for the strange things the easy ones are not the ones as it has not being any mistake.

do you use cleaners or anything on the rims or tires? it looks more like it got something on it than it just corroded on its own. not saying it isn't possible. it just doesn't look like that to me.

No, no cleaners just standard car shampoo and water to wash the car.
I will work again on the brakes next weekend and take picture of the pads.
Then I will post the pics or the links. Does anyone know why I could not post the pics? Is it because I'm new to the site and kind of trail mode or something like that?

I send my complain to hondapartsnow.com
The happy answer from the customer service department:
QUOTE:
International sales are not covered by warranty. If this was a domestic sale the warranty would have expired already.
As far as your rotors, it is impossible to tell from here, but it looks like they were exposed to salt water.
