A year or so ago I went for S03 instead of Azenis, as the consensus at the time was that the S03 was a superior tire. A year later, I have some significant wear on the S03s, probably a little worse wear than I would have expected.

How are you Azenis guys holding up? How does the wear seem compared to Kumho, s03, 730, etc?

 

Yeah, i'd like to know also since i'm planning on getting a set soon.

 

My Azeniis have 8500 miles on them now, two rotations, looks like I'll have another 8500 more miles before they get to the wear line.

edit: all street driven miles with exception of 4 auto-x events

how many miles did you put on your s-03's in that year? I expect to get at least 40K miles out of my s-03's with heavy driving.

 

I have some alignment problems so take this with a grain of salt regarding my own S03s:

I have not rotated front to back at all. I prefer to let the fronts wear out completely and then replace the fronts altogether. So right now the inner edges of both are nearing the bald level. I will switch the fronts L->R soon so that the wear edges are rotated correctly. I have had them for about 15k miles so far and so I would expect another 12-15k max until the wear bars. 25-30k total.

I have bout 200 miles on falkens, oh yeah thi is a wear post

 

I have roughly 5000 miles on my azenis, including 6 autoX and a test and tune (@ 30 autoX runs)...I just recently put the fronts on the rear, the fronts where pretty worn, but still had 4-5mm of tread, the rears that are now on the front looked brand new when a swapped 'em....gotta love FWD, rear wheels do nothing!

 

wow...i dont know what the hell i do when i drive but i kill azenis in like 5000 miles. Currently using Michelin Pilot Sports and they dont look like they are gonna last long either , really good tires though.

 

Give me a month or two notice and I can get them for $108CAD.

 

Almost 10,000 miles, 9 Track Days and More Autocrosses than I can remember. And I now at the wear bars.

i got about 10K miles and 3 autoX events...on my rsx-s.

 

bought mine 12-07-01... around 15k on them without any track days ... bout 1/3 tread left or more... conservitive alignment for the street...

 

s-03s probably last 30-40% longer than azenis. Azenis say they are 200 treadwear but I think they are probably less than that... like 175?

 

1 year later, 12K miles, track events here and there... need to be replaced!! These tires rock!! I'm going for a second set.

i have decided that for 400 bucks for 4 I can do new tires every summer. I just rotated my wheels and wished I had done it sooner because the fronts(now the backs) are really worn and the backs(now fronts) have a decent amount of tread left...

Oh I also pained my claipers flat black to match my wheels while I was rotating. Ill be taking pics tommorrow if I cna find the linking cable. It looks much better as the caliper seems to disapear behind the wheel now instead of stick out.
