Default 2000 GSR IAB question OBD1 conversion.

I have a 2000 gsr running the stock OBD1 computer.
I want to run a chipped obd1 computer, properly converted to vtec and for IAB's.

I have seen that the IAB's on a obd1 P72 work backwards from the OBD2 p72, as far as the polarity's go with the 2 wires. The only way i've seen to convert is the wire to another 12v source, and then run the ground to the ECU.

I'd really like to just be able to swap the computers back and forth easily.

My questions why not just swap the 2 wires? power to ground, ground to power? spade connectors would make the swap much easier for me.

Any help is appreciated.

no one? Got my OBD2a to obd1 conversion harness in today. plugged up the ecu and i'm enjoying it so far. Right now i have the butterfly's disabled, but i'd like to have it all hooked up properly, now that I can adjust the activation point.

I had this done. My tuner did all the work. All I know is that he wired in a relay to my OBD2> OBD1 wire harness.
I do know that just swaping the wires does not work.

Did a little research and the reason you cant just swap them is that they run to different pin locations on OBD1 ECU's.

Impressive numbers by the way.
