OBD1 gsr motor in 97 ek chassis bay:

using OBDII Ex engine harness (vtec)
using OBDII P72 ECU
bypassed CKF

has replaced dizzy, fuel injectors, alt. to OBDII

Started up at normal proper temp. and Idling at 1500,

did clean iacv, fitv, and ajusted idle speed screw to full clockwise at 10 + 5 (screw tip point)

Wondering why it's still idling at 1500 rpm? how to drop to 700 to 800 rpm?
btw..CEL check only for O2 secondary sensor

Replace the ecu w/ an OBDI P72 or chipped P28 ecu. It will not run correctly because the OBD2 ecu is looking for sensors that your OBDI motor doesn't have.

 

Try cleaning the throttle body and adjusting the throttle cable to have some slack.

 

I understand, that's could be a problem but I was just getting CEL for secondary 02 heater sensor..

iacv was unplugged when motor was running idle at 800 to 900 w/ no load..when it was plugged, it was idling at 2500

There's no CEL for TPS...I could try that, throttle cable is from 99-00 si, there's no slack

at cold start with iacv plugged...idle at 2500, when iacv was unplugged it's drop to normal idle 800 to 900., what's else could go wrong?
