Another crazy weekend, sadly mother nature came out on top but we still had 1 amazing day of racing thanks to Javier, Roger, and the rest of the OGS Camp as well as Englishtown for making some drastic changes to the event schedule to make the best attempt at completing both the Shootout classes with so many racers traveling from far. In a drivers meeting before the race Javier announced the change from 3 qualifiers to 2, then go directly into eliminations Saturday night, all the Racers agreed it was for the best. The 2 qualifiers kept a few heavy hitters out of pre race favorites out of the field, like CLM Ricky, TD Josh, and FCS Jason. All had cars easily capable of running quicker then the 9.76 bump. They had 2 hits like everyone else and thats how racing goes.

Because of the new condensed schedule racing was non stop, so sadly I have no coverage of 11.50, and i believe i missed some second round Q32 and 10.50 qualifying as I just needed some time to eat and well actually enjoy the event haha.

Round 2 of Eliminations was a roller coaster of excitement. It had 2 records breaking runs, 2 auto
start fouls, 1 upset and it also marked the end of the event because mother nature won and rained us out Sunday. The Final 4 racers, 2 1/2 East Coast CCC Racing Juan Rodriguez and Dynamic Performance Racing Allan Jimenez and 1 1/2 West Coast Do It Dyno Anthony Dinallo and Sheepey Built / Chris Miller Racing, decided do to travel and work, that they would split the remaining pot amongst the 4. Congrats to All participants, and thanks to Ortega Global Solutions (OGS) and Roger Downes for making the event a success with what the cards dealt.
