Questions about wire tuck in EF hatch
Hey guys thanks for having a quite look, I am going to do a wire tuck in my EF hatch with my ZC swap, I found a great thread im going off of, but i was wounding after i cut the wires and re run them threw my fenders, what are the wires recommended to extended the wires? any info helps. thanks guys.
Do not re-run them through the fenders and through the side of the door. That is a pi55ed poor way to re-wire things to and from your engine bay to the cabin. There is a rubber black plug close to the firewall that is next to the engine harness. Unplug that plug and use it to reroute wires.

Yeah my wire tuck didn't go through the door.... But I just went to pick an pull and chopped off both headlight harnesses as far back as possible... Only had to make one solder per wire
this........... is genius. why the f didn't i think of that?? probably looks tons cleaner too eh? i spent hours and hours extending my wiring :/.
Well thats the things, I have a thread im going off, and he does not cut any new holes just uses the factory holes, and i have all the things i need, just wanted to know what are the wires i would nee to extended them as in the size of wires i would need? This is where imgetting my tuck info from. and thanks for any info guys. sure helps.

thats how i did it, but i got it all from headlights to cabin harness.this way i could reuse the factory grommet for the engine harness and not cut up one. instead of soldering i connected the 2 harnesses with connectors.

I dont need to, I know people that have cut new holes and have gotten a nicer cleaner tuck. i dont want to do that, i just want to figure out what gauge wires i will need.
ummmm. how would they get "Crushed" as you put it? when there is already wiring going through that spot from factory that doesnt get "Crushed?"
o/p i ran my wires exactly how that write up shows two years ago and to this day i have had zero issues with it.
i will say running the wires is much easier with the dash out of the car

i dont want to cut new holes, would reather use the factory holes. and just buy wires that i can use to extend them.
could i do it with dash still in?
thanks guys.
These pics isn't the finished product, but it was during the whole process when I did my tuck to give you an idea.
