Do not re-run them through the fenders and through the side of the door. That is a pi55ed poor way to re-wire things to and from your engine bay to the cabin. There is a rubber black plug close to the firewall that is next to the engine harness. Unplug that plug and use it to reroute wires.

so your saying to tuck your engine bay wiring, move the harness over to the next opening? wouldnt that still leave your wiring in the bay?

Yeah my wire tuck didn't go through the door.... But I just went to pick an pull and chopped off both headlight harnesses as far back as possible... Only had to make one solder per wire

thats how i did it, but i got it all from headlights to cabin harness.this way i could reuse the factory grommet for the engine harness and not cut up one. instead of soldering i connected the 2 harnesses with connectors.

I'm just saying not to run it pass the doors unless you feel like crushing your wires. By all means its your car do whatever you like

o/p i ran my wires exactly how that write up shows two years ago and to this day i have had zero issues with it.

i will say running the wires is much easier with the dash out of the car

Really? got any photos? i foudn that link and it seems pretty good, so i was going to go off of that.

i dont want to cut new holes, would reather use the factory holes. and just buy wires that i can use to extend them.

could i do it with dash still in?

thanks guys.

I used 12 gauge when I did mine, I also found some 90-91EX door gromets at the junkyard, and ran everything through the door jams like this.

These pics isn't the finished product, but it was during the whole process when I did my tuck to give you an idea.

12g seems kinda big to me. When I make a harness I use 20g Teflon wires.
