So decided to swap an 00 A/T teg cluster in my stock ej6 and the speedo isnt working.

Heres a list of whats been done and is happening.
-2000 A/T integra(LS) cluster (wired using but connectors triple checked connections are good and in right pin layout
-tach, temp, and gas guages work pefect
-all other lights turn signals, brake, brights etc all work

Now the problems
-when car first turns on cluster and headlights flicker for a few seconds
-speedo almost always is completely eradicate
-on rare occasions speedo will work perfectly
-odometer goes along with speedo
-cel for harness malfunction 1298,0135,0141

I've been thinking this whole time its got to be electrical. But I went and re connected all wires and still the same thing.

Do i need a new harness?? I've heard the 96-00 harnesses are known to fail.

Or, should i start thinking about a new VSS?

Also, it is definitely not the cluster because I tried a friends cluster and had the same problem. Not sure what year his was but all 94-01 teg clusters use same pin for speedo.
