Default Color sanding metallic single stage?

I just sprayed my car with some single stage from Summit but I got some orange peel in some spots. From what I have researched, I can not wet sand or buff the paint. Is this true or if I am careful and don't cut to deep, will it be fine?

Edit: It is black cherry pearl but isn't really that high of a metallic. There is some gold flake in it though. I was thinking about sanding with 2000 and then buffing. I just want to try and take some or all of the OP out.

This is true. Anything with flake that is no clearcoated will become mottled if you wetsand. You might be able to reshoot.

I guess I will have to just live with it. I have to get my car out of the shop in the next few days
