Removing stubbern o-ring seals
My VC gasket has been leaking so I bought a Fel-Pro kit. I tried to remove the spark plug tube seals but ended up tearing them; I think they are the original seals. So now I have a VC gasket job I couldn't finish.
Does anyone know of a sure fire way to remove these seals? I tried to pry them out with a flat head screwdriver and a pick - No Luck.
Is there some chemical I can try, I want to get my car back on the road.
P.S. should I use some RTV Blue on the edges or is that not necessary?
Thanks

It turns out that I mistakenly removed them the wrong way. Best way in to take a flat head and tap them out with hammer - gently and the whole piece will come out. The guy at the parts store also learned this for the first time. Thanks to another customer there who told us both how it should be done.
