So we went to track for some testing and our car shut off after the 1/8th mile and would not start ....everthing comes on but no fuel pump or clicking from boost solenoid....any suggeston would be appreciated, it a is a 1st gen AEM

 

My AEM Series 1 1600 box started doing the same thing to me. It was as if it was losing crank/cam signal but it would not prime the pump on key on either. Almost as if the ecu was losing its key on power source which was not the case in mine.

From what ive read is the series 1 boxes have a lot of issues with this and is an internal issue with a solder joint more than likely. Try having the key in the "On" position and lightly tap the top of the box with your fingers and see if you hear the pump prime and so on, if so its a definite issue inside the box.

Im going to be sending mine in to have it repaired. Im pretty sure AEM covers the repair on this as well. Can always give them a try.

Be sure to double check the connector and harness to rule all that out first. But like I said if you lightly tap the top of the box with key on and it kicks the fuel pump on then yeah its an internal issue.

 

You can usually start by checking fuses and relays, if they are all good you can try a different output on the Aem to turn it on. Oh also do you have stat sync, that will probably be the first thing Aem tech asks you to check.
