Default Endyn Heads

Does anybody know if Endyn heads work well? Do they do good machine work? Does the stuff make power?

I've, so far, been told by one very well known racer that the work is good, just over priced.

Before I get any crazy stories, I already know about Larry's rather colorful internet history. I'm not interested in hearsay. I want to see hear/see credible times and/or numbers.

The reason I ask is because I am interested in having him perform some work on a Toyota head and block for a drag project of mine.

If you were buying used? Yes buy it. There stuff works well.

If you are looking to have something done by them? I'd look else where..

It's actually a 3rd gen jdm 3sgte head and I was gonna have him do all of the machine work on my 5sfe 2.2 block. I will assemble.
87.5 bore 91mm crank. crower rods, JE pistons, GSC 268 high lift cams, ferrea valves, GSC springs, etc.
I'm trying to get this thing done, but other significant bills have been piling up. It's getting tough.

If I could do it over again..I'd go with Portflow, Heard nothing but great things about them. I currently have a head done by CCC... yet to have my motor run right to see numbers tho, Also I believe he doesn't port heads anymore. Head work is something you can't go cheap on..Portflow's prices are very fair for the work you get. Good peace of mind. http://www.portflow.com/frame.htm

there is a particular monetary reason why I'd like to use Endyn. I don't want to go to much into it on here.
I just need solid evidence that they do good and accurate machine work and the head porting works well.

A good person to ask maybe is Tony from T1 seeing they're in the same location.. I bet he has done business with them, email him, He responds quick too... T1race@gmail.com.

I remeber emailing endyn before because I already knew they're the sh*t when it comes to engine work. I would only expect the best from them honestly.

I like 4 piston's work. I've seen it in action and have read nothing but good things. One of these days, I may put a k24a1 double exhaust rocker setup in my EK hatch daily. I'll call them if I do.

I have used Endyn for 7 heads, one of them being mine. The superb machine work I have seen, the custom quench work, and attention to detail is something I have not seen in any other ported head. I haven't seen/tested all options out there, but I have also dealt with several other well known companies. I won't list them here, but PM me if you need a few details. All applications made great power, fuel economy (certain ports) and most importantly reliabilty. I rev my head to 11,200 rpm and have done it for over three years without a hitch. The guides hold up every time, the stem seals don't leak, and the valvetrain they provide just... works. There were several posts in S2KI with data on the F20 motors. Granted some are road race setups, but it's still nice to have data on something more than just a B-series engine. Unfortunately, I don't have any more info that isn't narrowed to the B engine but hope it helps.

FYI, Larry did a B16 head for me roughly 7years ago or so.

It flowed 292cfm @ .520 lift. on the intake. I would have to pull my flow sheet for the exhaust #'s.

This was flowed on PortFlows SuperFlow 600.

Not the best numbers, but not that bad for 7years ago.

Tony of Tony1 may have done some business with Endyne in the past, honestly I have no clue, but Tony sports an RLZ head on his car from what I know. Many of the fastest cars out there have had good results with RLZ cylinder head work.

Endyn is slow and expensive. Head turned out ok, but their customer service was sub par.
