my car has about 3 layers of house paint over the factory paint. from the previous owner which was pretty crazy but do you guys have any ideas of how to remove the paint. like is there anything i can put on the paint just to soften it enough where i can scrape it off so i can get down to factory paint. it dont matter if the factory paint gets eaten up too but i need to get to factory paint so i can use wax and grease remover so that way i don't sand the wax n stuff into everything. i believe that there is grass inside the paint as well so any help will be much appreciated thx

There's really nothing quite like using some power tools and good old fashioned elbow grease.

Angle grinder + carbon steel wire knot wheel
Power drill + wire brush cup
Wire brush
Sandpaper

These things will be invaluable for stripping paint off.

 

Aircraft grade remover is commonly found in most automotive stores. Look inteh paint section.

Have it sandblasted.

 

get some ductape and put a strip of it on and WAM!! rip it off, kinda like waxing a hairy back
