this only started happening recently. has been running issue free for over a year. it seems that every time i hit about 4500rpm all the lights get really bright and my stereo cuts out. it blew out one of my hid bulbs and my other one seems like its about to do the same. i had the alternator checked and all the numbers were right apparently.

what should i look for?

idk if this changes anything or affects anything but my differential bearing is going out and im leaking a ton of fluid from the diff/axles

 

Sounds like a problem with the voltage regulator in the alternator, causing it to overcharge the system.

Test the system voltage when the engine is revved to 4500 rpm.

 

cool. im just gonna have it rebuilt monday then i guess
