So I installed AC in my 2000 civic and everything works except the condenser fan. So what did I miss? I installed the two relays under the hood, but I’m not getting power at the fan. I tested the fan and it works fine.

Did I miss a fuse?

 

I just put AC into my 98 Civic HX. Did you remember to put the 2 relays, or if the condenser fan relay has gone bad have you tried a different one? Also, did you put in the diode? The wiring harness is also important, did you bolt it onto the rad support with the engine ground wire? Try some electronic connector cleaner maybe... My AC worked beautifully for half an hour, then I found out that my discharge and suction hoses are both leaking at the crimps. So now I have to replace those as well as replacing the receiver/drier

 

My guess would also be the ac diode its in the underhood fuse box and controls the relay for the fan I missed it when I put it in my hatch just a little black peg thing

 

 

Diode so thats what forgot. I was wondering what went in that spot. My cover doesn't say anying about that spot. Is that something you can get at Autozone?

 

Can I use a jumper wire until I find one?

 

No jumpers! But you can use diodes for electronic items until you get the right diode. Get a diagram to see which way the current is supposed to flow.

 

I just went to the salvage yard and pulled one out of a Civic.

 

Yeah I just sent the car over seas and I'm flying out tomorrow so I cant run to the junk yard. But Im sure I can find one in spain.
