shift light to open slot in cluster
i was wondering if anyone knew how to install a shift light into the open spot in the cluster by where the check engine light is. just wondering if it can be done or not. if so, is their a writeup on how to install it?
RPM activated switch hooked to a light bulb.
Example of switch: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-830450-1/
There's also ways to do it with certain ECU's but that's way more complicated than you're probably looking for.

Yes it can be done. I did it with my radar detector warning light. First you have to sand off the black paint on the clear plastic. Then install the light. I used an led and an old pen tube to make it a spot light. Otherwise it lit everything up. I used a blue LED and it was very noticeable.
As far as the electronics for the shift light you will have to buy something.
