Default engine idle went nuts

alright, my idles been really weird lately
at idle, the engine speed is constantly going up and down, itll be normal, speed up for about 2 seconds, then it sounds almost like it bogging
I figured it might be a vaccum leak or something, but usually when theres a vaccum leak, doesnt the idle stay high, not pulse back and forth??
I checked for codes and I'm not getting any,
anybody got any ideas i should check out??
thanx everyone

My D16Y8 was doing this... I think it may be the 02 sensor, like the sensor is giving the wrong signal to the computer and the ECU tries to compensate. My car was doing the same thing, then it threw an oxygen content code (2 days before I crashed it )

if you need to check for a vaccuum leak get yourself some carburator cleaner and spray it were it could be leaking. it works beautifully. found many of my leaks when my car was doing the same thing.
