[I[/I]hey I have an 01 civic vtec, battery light wont turn off got a new battery, got the alternator checked out its good. And the fuses to the battery is good. Anyone know what could cause the battery light to be on??

Checked grounds they were a little rusty. But I cleaned them up and put them back on tight. It didnt go off.On another note the car is ideling bad when it worms up, but I don't see how it could cause the battery light to be on. Could there be any relation to the two problems?

 

your alternator might be going out. even if you check it it could show that it is fine, but it could slowly be going out. you can get it rebuilt and it'll be like new vs having to buy a new one.
