Starting problem with 91 CRX HF
I need some help figuring out why my CRX won't start. I have a 1991 CRX HF 1.5 D15B6 MPFI all stock. Last week it would stop running for no real reason. I discovered that the pulsation dampers set screw had backed itseld out so the fuel was being shut off. I replaced that. Worked well for a couple of days then stalled again. I also started to notice that I hace excess vacuum in the gas tank. I opened up the tank, and it ran again after a few starts. I drove it for a couple of days with gas cap loose and it was fine until it stalled again and won't start. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator and pcv valve, took off the fuel rail and made sure it was clear, I have voltage at the injectors but not sure what a good voltage is there. I also removed fuel line from rail and turned key to verify that the fuel pump is pushing gas to the rail and it is but not sure how to measure rate. I also verified that I have a spark at the plugs. Running out of ideas here. Please send me your advice on how to diagnose this.
this sound slik something that was happening to my crx and i did everything u did and still just wouldnt work then i replace the realy thats right under the kick panel on the driver side and it started working u should give that a shot or tey the fuel pump it might not be working properly or maybe the ecu?
hope it helps

Yes that is the Main Relay and I just replaced that and nothing changed except that my wallet was missing $50...lol. I have to try getting another ecu and se if that will solve it. Thanks for the help...
UPDATE - I am one big step closer - while trying to start I noticed that it will stay running if I leave the key turned all the way forward just 1 click short of engaging the starter... sometimes after letting it run like that for a little bit I let the key go to its normal run position it will stay on and sometimes it shuts off. SO... Is this the ignition switch malfunctioning ??? or is there a start/run relay that isnt working properly ?? or the ECU ?? Thanks again for your help....
what in the hell lol well i knew u would soon figure it out but an ignition switch causing all this haha well at least u figured it out lol when i bought my crx the owner before me had nstalled a killed switch but it used like 3 wires from the main relay and somehow i could turn the key back to off and take out the key and my car would stay runing and i would have to siconnect the battery haha till i find out how to do the killswitch the irhgt way haha those little annoying problems!
