I have a 1990 Civic DX that I've had for 8 days now. I've discovered tons of problems that are all fixed but the most recent problem I discovered is my seat belts wont lock. I pull on it like a lawn mower and it will not lock. I thought maybe I needed to be on the brake so I drove it at about 45 mph and hit the brakes decently hard and yanked on it and it still wouldn't lock. I've done a lot of googling and can't figure out if i need to replace the whole belt or just one part of it. Does anybody know what to do in this situation?

 

call your local dealership. honda seat belts are lifetime warranty, i'm just unsure of what year they started doing that.
