Default Replaced the Ignition Cylinder Lock, car still doesn't work

I replaced my ignition lock cylinder and the car is doing exactly what it was before. It starts, but the key pops right back and the car dies.

Does the entire switch need to be replaced?

Sounds like you have to replace the switch.

Yep it's the switch, not the lock.
