d16a6 axle help
hey whats up, my names ralph. i have a question
so i did a swap in an EF hatchback, from a d15 to a d16a6.
the issue im having though is that one axle fits good on driver side, but the passenger axle is not long enough, and if i put the axle bolt on, when i start driving my axle comes out from the tranny when turning, im using the original 4speed axles from the d15. do i need different axels, or a new hubb? hope you can help thanks

check if you still have the locking ring thing on the end of the axle. and if you do have it on there then once you push it in try pulling it out, it should require some force to pull it. if it slids right back out it isnt locked in
it is all the way locked (axle), however when i put the hubb on with the break assembly the axle threads do not come through the hubb, i have to turn the wheel in order for the threads to come out from the axle, and when i turn the wheel theirs pressure on the axle from getting pulled by the wheel assembly.
are you using the d15 4 speed? if so changing the engine doesnt affect axles.
As stated above if it wasnt properly seated into the tranny then that could cause your issues. WHen you put the axle in can you pull it out by hand?
And why do you ask us about the control arms? Did you change them?

i have a d16a6 in it, but the suspension and control arms should be original off a 4speed d15, but i dont know if the person who i bought the car off of changed them or anything (control arms). what would you recommend me to check?? basically the hubb is resting to far out away from the axle, which the axle is attached to the tranny, so i cannot put the axle bolt on or else when i turn the wheel, the axle WILL pop out from the transmission with the axle bolt still attached to axle on the hub .
