Hey guys,

I have a 93 civic hatch and recently bought a carbon hood off a friend (2 dr civic) I installed it and it won't latch down, just pop back up.

Would i need to install a 2dr hood latch on my civic for the hood to work..?
Are the latches deeper on a 2 dr civic?

Might need to move the latch up some, loosen the 3 bolts that hold it in place and move the latch up some, also, the rubber stopper on each side, that you can spin, to make them go up and down might need adjusted as well, Be sure to NOT EVER slap the hood, set it down and push done where the latch is. Otherwise you will end up breaking it.

 

Hey, I tried moving the 3 bolts on the latch around and tried moving the attachment on the hood too, i'll try and keep fiddling with it hopefully get it going soon. maybe i just need to set the latch farther down. Thanks

 

with the latch farther down it should still latch, but the hood would be setting up, it could also be that it's too high and not at the right point to latch. Have you tries loosening the bolts where the hood bolt to the hinges and tried moving it around?

 

I tried moving around the 4 bolts on the latch on the hood up and around.
The hood will click in but wont fully shut. Just pops back up again.
I'll try moving the 3 bolts around on the latch farther down and loosen up the bolts on the hood. Trial and error im guessing.

 

try moving the rubber bump stops down a twist or two.
