need help with my ac

Default need help with my ac

so i just picked up this 91 ef all original ac was a lil low so i added some r12 n it blew super cold parked the car for a few days till i got tires for it since it would be my work car. on the way home from work i turn on the ac and nothing got home checked it no fan no ac clutch coming on i bypassed the relay n it everything works. is it possible that both the relays took a crap? or what else should i check? shoudlnt i be getting singnal on 1 wire on the 4p connector for the relay?

The relay is probably bad. One of my relays fell apart when I handled it. They still can be obtained new from Honda.

Hmm...not sure about testing them. I would have to look at my Civic service manual (bible) when I get home.

so i jumped the 4p connectors on the compressor n fan they both turned in but i wasnt getting any cold air

Has all the R12 leaked out? Have you leak tested the system?

its still good on the r12 it was low before i just added under a lb to it. do you guys know the psi the low and high side have to be at?

If the comp, fans and blower are running it should be cold. Are you sure it's not leaking too? I just installed ac in my 90 civic but conv to R134. Didn't think R12 was still around in California. There is a dye that's added to make it easier to see the leaks.
