Default Non-adjustable shock with race springs

Running in ChumpCar with a 94 sedan. Our situation allows us some lowering springs but must be with shocks that are not adjustable. Anything fit this bill that will hold up with some race springs (h&r,Megan)?

Tokico Blues or KYB-GR2s would be decently priced shocks that will hold up. Can you only use lowering springs? No coilover sleeves?

An adjustable sleeve would most likely penalize me with more points. I was thinking about the kybs since I had used them in the past but that was the adjustables which were most likely made to be lowered some.

Haven't checked in tokikos yet.

It's the drop blowing the shocks after 10 laps I'm concerned with.

If you have access to a machine shop or a tap and die set. You could add more thread length to the strut shafts in relation to your drop height. Then cut the tops to keep it looking stock length. This will maintain the stock struts compression/travel length. Only issue would be if your springs are to soft and they make the strut compress and bottom out.

Never done it myself however, I helped tune a friends car. He did it on his Civic that he was running on a local track. He also had to comply with the same type of rules that you stated. Non adjustable suspension. We never had any issues with blown struts, KYB-GR2's are what we used. These cars weren't supposed to be chipped or tuned ether. I think every car on the track was..... Techs were so old school they had no idea what to look for in the PGMFI area.

Interesting idea. I do have access to that equipment. Thanks!

Probably going to pick up a set of cheap Monroes, lifetime warranty, and then rebuild the stock struts with some heavy weight oil.

also if you are allowed look at getting extended top hats for the shocks, even homemade ones.
also, if you want to spend the money get some custom valves konis! pretty sure you can special order some that are valved and built to spec, but not adjustable when on the car (aka no external adjusters).
