I just installed an Mfactory lsd into a GSR trans, and I noticed it is hard to spin the front wheels with the car in any gear, (car is on jack stands) but in netural they spin free. Does this sound normal for a new lsd?

 

The wheel breakway torque is measuring in at 45ft pounds with the trans in gear, and less the 20 maybe around 10-15(my wrench only goes down to 20) in netural.

 

Turn the key on...Put the trans in 2nd gear, turn the wheels as fast as you can and see if you can get the engine to start

Well, what was the diff thrust clearance set to? LOL If this is a GSR trans with GSR LSD, did you use the correct bearings?

For the most part, an amount is normal, however. Just couldn't tell you what the preload torque would be for it. Never measured.
