Icon2 Can anyone tell me what trans I have?

Car is a 94 Civic Si it gots a B16 motor...Unfortunately the trans has no numbers or letters identifying it.

At redline (8200rpm) in gears
1st: 40mph
2nd: 60mph
3rd: 85mph

Cruising in 5th gear
3000rpm = 60mph
3500rpm = 70mph

Does anyone have an idea what trans I got?

I don't know for sure if there is an LSD...but I would say no. I'm saying no because when I tried launching from a dig at 4000rpm it had no bite at all.

an LSD doesnt necessarily mean launch control. When you turn what it does is it will turn one of the wheels (the outside to be exact) slightly faster so you dont grind a tire

So according to what your saying it would never help my car get off the line quicker if it had an LSD.

So I guess it's a GSR trans. I like the link that you put.

Dude settle down. He said it "doesn't necessarily mean launch control". Which is a spot on statement. Yes an lsd will help with your launches, but there are a dozen other reasons why you might have "no bite" at a 4k rpm launch. He's just trying to help.

I'm guessing GSR tranny as well, but keep in mind the LSD was optional in the GSR, thus you can't make a decision based on that. I for one have a non LSD jdm GSR tranny

Well I couldn't check what kind of tranny I have. Work and the rain is preventing me from doing that.

Next time you take your trans off, count the number of revolutions the axle turns versus the input shaft. If the axle turns 3 1/2 times to the input shaft's one you have a gsr, if it turns 3 1/4 to the input shafts one then you have a b16 if it turns 3 3/4 to the input shaft's one then you have an ls
