Icon2 Cold Air Intake on '02 Civic EX?

Is it worth the time and money to install a cold air intake system on my 1.7?
If so, is a better exhaust needed too?

Is it worth .. what, exactly?

More noise? Yes.

More power? No.

Even with an intake and an exhaust, your gains are negligible. If you're going to do it, do it for aesthetic purposes or else you're just fooling yourself.

This has been covered numerous times, by the way.

What??? I said in the first sentence exactly what! Why ask that question, and then go on to answer my question anyhow?

But thanks for the input.

Actually, you didn't specify why you were thinking about installing one. You simply asked...

If anything it will help clear up the engine bay and make it easier to get your hand in certain places. Thought about this after spending an hour trying to find an opening to run my amp cable.

I ended up running mine through the harness grommet. Just poked a little hole in it, pushed the 4g wire through, and goobered it with silicone after the installation.

It will sound faster but it wont BFASTER. haha.

Really the only thing that, in my own opinion, will help you gain any speed is lightening your car, and putting in a better clutch and flywheel so you would have a tiny bit more power to the wheels. Also, you can do a crower stage 1 cam. All of those should be a rather easy install. Just time consuming. In the end, are they worth the money? To me, yes. Are the worth the time I would take to install? Again, yes. But if you're looking to blow the socks off some kid.... That might not happen... haha.

Good one! Well, thanks everyone. Guess I'll put my time and money into some nice wheels and a stereo.
