How To : Direct fuel pump power wire
Im surprised I couldnt find any info on this in the FAQ. Alot of guys have the walbro 255 pump in there civic/crx but I cant find any thread or talk on how to direct wire your fuel pump, with better gauge power wire and ground etc.
I am about to install a 255HP pump and am unsure about the installation and how I should go about hard wiring this pump to get the most out of it voltage/power/flow wise.
Any help with pics or info spefici to the EF chassis would be greatly appreciated. Im no wiring master and dont really understand a relay, but Id love to do this install the right way and never have any fuel pump wiring problems

I know they run fine on factory wiring, ive done it with success. But this time I am going for much more hp, and want to maximize the power and supply to the pump
Easy....cut the yellow and black wire Pin # 3 coming from the Main EFI relay going to the fuel pump and wire it directly to your battery. Although I do recommend a toggle switch and a inline fuse 10A -15A or whatever your fuel pump is rated at (x 1.5 ).
But really? This makes no difference it's getting direct power from your battery. I would actually connect a capacitor with the fuel pump just to make it work better.....

I dont quite understand that, but the point of this is to bypass the very small oem wiring and connection points, and give it a straight run of thicker gauge wire
