Default OIL LEAK

ive had this problem since i bought the car, its leaking a greenish-brown-black with silver thing oil. earlier i pulled the vss out the transmission and saw the same oil sorrounding the gear of the vss, could it be a transmission oil leak? and where's the most common leak?

trans fluid is going to be red, or brown....
easiest way to tell if its trans fluid is dip a finger in it and smell it...if it burns your nose a bit....its trans fluid. it doesn't smell good.

Green or blue = coolant (depending what you use)
Gold/brown/black = oil
Red/Pink/Brown and smelly = trans fluid

well you said you took out the VSS and saw it there. Check that area. Also could leak from the fill, and or drain plug. Also where the axles go into the tranny. You have to clean/degrease everything and then go for a drive, come home and look where it's wet.

Open the hood, spray simple green or any other degreaser all over the tranny. Yes, go underneath and do the same. Use a brush to agitate the heavy stuff, then hose it all off. You won't damage anything. Don't spray directly on any wires or electrical stuff. Make sure the car is warm, not hot. Once you are done, you can start the car and drive to speed up the drying process.

--- Check the drain plug, make sure it has a washer between it and the trans. Make sure the passenger side axle is all the way seated inside the trans. If it's not coming from your drain plug, it's probably your axle seals. (If so, i recommend going to the dealer. I tried sourcing out seals for my trans when i had my motor out and no stores had proper ones... they listed they were proper... but they werent. Dealer only had the correct ones)

--- Also try and snap a picture of the oil dripping off of the transmission. Different sections of oil on the transmission can help diagnose.
