when to beadlock or screw rims/slicks?
i searched but had no luck,at what point is it needed to bead lock or put screws in the rims/slicks? and can you diy the screws? i have v2 drag rims with 24.5 mt and 650whp range if it helps

When slick movement on wheel is noticeable. You'll want a screw that does not go all the way through the back of the slick. Just enough to grab the bead.

15 inch piece of round paper fold it 4 times like a pie slice. punch a hole all the way thru in the center. unfold and wala use the paper as a template. ace hardware has screws. i always put in tubes too

I recommend using the Mr. Gasket 4318 rim screw kit. I got mine off jegs. It comes with all the screws you will need, with a few extra, and the correct size drill bit. It worked great for me and made things so easy.

Id trust a part made for racing than a part from a hardware store. But I guess as long as its a Grade 8 or higher and isnt too long or short and is thick enough, Id feel okay with it.
Thats why I just recommend the part sold by jegs because it takes all the guess work out of it. Just buy, install and go.
