Default Finally took my car to the dyno....

And remembered a lot of you wanted to see what kind of numbers I was putting down. Well, here's the extent of tuning with an hour on the dyno (16 pulls)...

Intake Cam advanced 8 degrees
Exhaust Cam at zero
Fuel pressure raised from 40 up to 45 psi
Timing at 16 degrees

I was hoping for a bit more, but am happy with my results. I think with some more time I and a stand alone ECU I think I could get even better numbers.

Large Image (may have to cut and paste)

And then a little fun video of my car on the dyno. Wish I could have had the video run all the way out to 9400rpm.....oh well.

Hey Dan! Impressive as always...

I was wondering what made you guys aim towards going with the odd cam phasing during tuning? What was it set at originally and what did the power band look like to make you decide on tweaking to +8/0 ? Thanks

Rich, I gradually advanced the intake cam and each run it made more power. The idle kept getting worse the more I advanced it though, so I tried retarding the exhaust cam, and it actually hurt power even though it made the idle better. Now I'm running on the street at +8 and with the fuel leaned out at idle, it idles "okay". I've always heard that to make lots of power the Toda Bs, advancing the intake cam is the way to go. I guess that theory is correct.

Baseline WHP was 191 and baseline torque was 129.

Whats your setup b/c I feel you can definately get more out of what you have now. I'm making 201whp with my stock bore B16.

I think he is making awesome power with only 11.1:1 compression ratio.

hey guys, got what some might think is a dumb question here.....

Which GSR's are faster in the 1/4 G2 or G3 or is there no difference??
Buddy of mine told me G2's were faster. I didn't think there was a difference.

awesome #'s.

think about going to 18 on the timing.
bumping up compression since u have B's?
fuel pressure to 50 psi?
i think u can squeeze some more HP out of it.
