Yo! What up fellas. I've been searching like a **** for days, and haven't found any definitive solutions to my specific problems, so I thought I'd break the ice with a post. I'm nearing the end of a JDM B18C GSR swap into my EJ8 (96-97 OBII into 97 EX Coupe), and I'm having two issues:



1.) Throttle Cable is too long. I'm using the 17910-ST7-L01 GSR Throttle Cable, and have the 16411-P72-000 Bracket at the Throttle Body, but it is still about half an inch too long.

I noticed Item Number 15 in the link below seems to be yet another Bracket 17931-SR3-A10. Now, I've seen some posts mentioning another Bracket at the Firewall that is needed for the GSR Cable to work in a EK or EJ8. Is this that Bracket?




2.) I have about 21" of space from my DC Sports 1 Piece 4-2-1 GSR Header to my 2.5" Meagan Racing EJ8 Catback Exhaust. I expected this. I just wanted to know if anyone has found any bolt on solutions for this. Like a Hybrid Swap Test Pipe or Cat? Looks like most Direct Fit Cats for GSR's are 17.25" and EK/EJ's are 16.25", so neither will bridge the gap. I know I can get something at a muffler shop fab'd up, but I wanted to "exhaust" all other options first.

Well, looks like we're going to fab something up on the Cat situation, just order the Firewall Bracket for the Throttle Cable, and see what happens. I'll be sure to post if we come up with anything useful.
