I am a owner of a 1990 Acura Integra....Everything has been swapped and its fully geared for racing, however we have run into a problem and cant fully trace it down... my gears have started grinding and not going in 3 rd gear anymore....and when we put it in all the other gears the car is jumping to go....anyone having these issues and can you tell me if it is more than likely the clutch or could it be a broke linkage or something along those lines... im confused cause none of my other imports have ever done anything like this whether they had broke linkages or clips, or even the clutch, thanks everyone

 

If it goes in every other gear perfectly then 3rd gear is bad.

 

It's possible that it's the clutch. My brother's Integra started to grind in every gear terribly and was hard to put in gear. But he got a new clutch and it was fine afterwards. Hopefully that's all it is for you.

 

Obviously it would occur in every gear if it was the clutch. In his case it only occurs in 3rd gear.

 

Sounds like the sychros on your 3rd gear are bad.
