engine wont start. new plugs still no spark
i have a 98 integra with a b18b motor. i installed new sparkplugs and new wires in my engine but i do not have spark. their is an after market alarm system in my car of which i took off the horn. ( i cut the wire to the horn, it had a ground wire that was detached aswell) is their any solution to this that i can try at home? my engine turns over and all my electronics seem to work (lights, signals) please let me know as soon as possible thanks!
On my 94 it was the coil. It died at about 140k. There is a way to measure the resistance, to tell if the coil is bad, I do not remember the magic numbers. It is a very high resistance. Do a search on testing a coil and I am sure you will get tons of hits. People have argued about how sure of a test you can get with an DVM. My experience was a FALSE GOOD reading. Without a "meger" you cannot test a coil 100%
