Default Car died while driving home wont crank

So i was out the other night driving my 1993 civic eg and as i was accellerating it all of the sudden just died. tried to crank, just a hard click, nothing else. Tried popping the clutch just surged and did not start. towed it home and it still does not want to start all it does it make a loud click. already checked starter and oil. starter is good oil was fine not any obvious metal shavings. Timing belt looks good no ripped off teeth. just looking for some advice of things to check before i just pull the motor out of the car. Pulled the plugs and didnt see any signs of damage through the plug holes.

The motor was also recently rebuilt and arp headstuds etc were installed so it shouldn't have just given up from age.

info on car.
1993 civic
d16z6 motor turbocharged
stage 4 clutch

Though id report back.
Pulled the oil pan to find a thrust washer spun up and loged itself between the crank counterweight and crankshart girldle nedless to say. Crank is trashed. It appears Previous Owner installed the thrust washer backwards which eventually caused this.
