Tire recommendations - daily drive
Many will disagree, but I was very happy with Kumho 712's in 205/50/15 for daily driving. They're cheap from http://www.tirerack.com
Give them 1000 miles and play with the air pressures and you'll be happy.

What are you looking for in a tire ? Performance, durability, ride quality...
Personnaly I am partial for the stock Potenza RE010.
I also tried the Advan 032R... grip like hell, very high performance, not good in the rain, don't last long (but I guess they are not for daily driving).

I just got a set of Yokohama AVS ES100. I think they suit pretty well for daily driving.

For $$$ reasons
, I'd rather get an all-season (NJ winters).
Durability, then Ride Quality, then Performance.

You know with all-season tires, you are going to lose a lot of the ITR appeal...anyway I think Pirelli P-7000 could be a good choice. Check on http://www.tirerack.com for more details. They are sold pretty much everywhere.

It's all about your priorities. I loved the stock RE010s, but I only got 18k miles out of them in normal street driving. I replaced them with the Kumho 712 for mostly price reasons. Less grip, but I have 10k street miles and 10+ autocrosses on them with very little wear, for cheap. I will probably switch to Hoosiers for autox, but I would buy the 712 again for a cheap street tire...
actually the kumhoes (
) are not bad in the snow.....I made a 4+ hour drive, all two lane backroads, in at least 3" on the ground, blizzard conditions (for NC at least). The tires did very well, the LSD helps, and they only scared me once. Dont lift in a turn

Im running the Dunlop SP5000's right now and they are a good all around tire but the side walls are real soft so dont do no auto-x in them
They get my recomendation

Summitomo HTR 200 are good for daily driving. Their side wall is kinda soft, not suited for autoX/road racing. They have a rating of 8.? on tire rack. Wonderful dry and wet performance, very resistant to hydoplaning. I got mine for $44 a tire at tirerack.com
S-03's. Around 75 a tire. Good tire drip, excellent in the rain.
I'm with scott. S-03's, 195-50-15. Excellent in rain.

thats what i have. havent really tried them out.
I've been happy with Bridgestone RE-730s. Not as costly as the S-03 in 205/50ZR15 but they last a long time for street use while still offering credible grip.
Since you are in NJ, tires like the RE-010 might not be so good as a year-round daily driven tire. 010's are fantabulous in the spring/summer. But they are downright scary when it is 40-45F and below. NO grip. I'd love them for summer tires, but they are too expensive for street tires, IMO. Stay away from the softer rubber tires if you are going to need these tires for three/four seasons. I had my S-03's on during the winter last year (Chicago) and I'm very very tempted to get some winter tires and steelies, my experience was not all that good in the snow/ice.
Now are there any advantages of the Dunlop SP5000s over the SP9000s other than the $$$???? and do most of you run 50 series tires???
