Possible to flip the 5/R Synchro Sleeve

Rebuilding an LS tranny and the fifth gear side of the sleeve has a good amount of wear in it. Reverse side looks brand new. Is it possible to flip the sleeve around and be ok?

It'll slide out of 5th since the Reverse side is cut straight IIRC. No pent-roof locking design on that side of the sleeve.
