Default STL IFO JT Auto wreck

Well here it is the split second of descion making dont know what i could of done differently but i tried to fight it off the wall..

Track was crap as i was spinning 1st and 2nd a few rotary guys were getting all lose also.
I might have been able to save it but i did what i could in a split blink.. was trying to save it from the right wall and ended up on the left.. Ruined a lot of my turbo parts gotta start all over on that :-(.. As i bounced off the left wall and back to the right i finished with a 10.0 at 102

That sucks at least you walked away.
You need traction control & vehicle stability assist to run there... lol

I was in the stands and saw the tire rubbing and smoking a little before the 1/8th mile, knew it was gonna go down. Glad it wasn't that bad, could have been much worse.

im thinking it was the tire but its hard to say, rim is all screwed up and tire has a big hole in it.
I was on mt i think imma try out some mh this time for a thicker sidewall.

Always sucks to see that happen to a fellow racer. The important part is that you're ok.. Time to build bigger!

It's always seems like it wont happen to u until it does and it sucks! lol, The good thing is the shell was untouched besides my front bumper, my precision 72mm turbo took all the impact and my AFI forward facing manifold were the 2 things that saved the car itself but now i have a 3k turbo as paper weight and a turbo manifold that pushed in thats no use but non of the welds cracked give AFI props for that one! One damaged Weld 13x10..

Hey Joe what front ends do you have in stock?

When the tire went down the rim hit the track and sparked. As the tire was expanding before the 1/8th it looked like it was hitting the fender or something because smoke from the top of the right slick got worse. I was about to tell my brother you were about to spin then it cut across.

I keep hoping that it doesnt happen to me, but if it does, I hope to not be physically hurt. Screw the car, I can always build another!

I have EG open, EK and EK Wide open and closed, DC open and closed, and EF open and closed. Sold the last EG closed the other day, but hope to pick up more when I pick up my new dually in California in a week or so.. No carbon stuff in stock though.

Damn Tran... Glad your ok I heard the buzz from the staging lanes that you hit the wall but was glad to hear you walked away safe.

You can replace a car or turbo parts but your kid can't replace a father. Stuff like this puts things into perspective.

Glad you are alright. When we seen the pass happen everyone around me watching thought you did a pretty good job keeping it together.

Sorry to hear about the damage.

Another angle that shows the smoke others commented about before the accident.

Edit: Note that is not me or anyone around me and they make some disrespectful joking comments I obviously do not agree with.

People are douche bags. No one around me thought it was a joke. I just posted that cause it showed some of the smoke off the tire issue from the perspective spectators seen. Sorry I did not mean to be disrespectful posting that.

Looks like the front end is too low and the fender cut into the tire.

Sorry to hear and I'm glad you're ok. Could have been a lot worse if you didn't react like you did.

I'm ready to fix it I just got my season started :-( was hoping to go to ennis in nov since I started so late in the season, took a year break cause we had our first child. Got me all pumped up but to end like this was not what I wanted now back to the drawling board with all these expensive parts to replace will set me back..

Thanks this 24.5 tire thing was starting to get fun too lol the last 2 times out with 24.5 consistent mid 9s was starting to get dialed in. O well I'll be back stronger!
