Pics of drag cars with AeroCatch hood pin placement please
I wanna see some of ur drag cars that are using these hood pins and where u placed them. I have a few ideas pondering but can't make my mind up what will look the best. I have a CF hood and don't really trust the stock latch on it and def don't want it flying up on me going down the track...lol I plan on doing these 2marrow afternoon along w/finishing up mounting my Exospeed front end I've been wanting forever...haha Show me some pics guys, maybe somebody got slick w/these
not a drag car but i still run pins on my carbon hood

i mounted the pins right between the two headlight mounting bolts

depetro1 thanks for posting up a pic. I didn't have time to install mine 2day so gonna shoot for 2marrow. I've seen then like u did urs which is prob how I'm gonna do mine, I've seen them moved further toward the fender and run parallel w/the fender instead of angled. Just wanted to see if anybody has tried anything else and bounce back and forth some ideas
Yeah that's the other way I've seen them "parallel " I need to decide quickly which way I won't to do it, they both look good. Anybody else mounted these diff?
They're backwards.
Aerocatch's are designed as a safety latch that is pushed down by air pressure if inadvertently left unlatched. The position you have them installed at will do the opposite of what they're intended to do; catch air, and unlatch.

I have mine installed backward, didn't really fit right the other way around because I put them pretty low on the hood. Pretty obvious if you leave one unlatched anyway.
Hah... I did not know that... thanks though. Too bad I can't just switch it around....
