Im still a a little new to swaps and i'm sure this question has been answered but i need to know if anyone can tell me what i need to swap an h22a into my 00 civic ex. And what parts i need like new mount brackets, ecu, and basic stuff to know. Right now I got a d16y8. another question is can a complete stock h22a motor fit straight in and if i can use the tranny with the shell. I don't wanna sound dumb asking stupid questions but just asking for a little knowledge. Any reply would help me understand better, thanks.

We can all only be spoonfed so much, if you don't have a clue what you're doing, then you should wait it out a bit and gain more experience or do tons more research.

earlier today i called around looking for a h22a and this dude was selling just block n head no ecu no wire harness and no tranny for 1100. i was like wtf and he had the nerve to tell me it wont fit into my civic. im aware i need some conversion kits but i told the dude nicely no thank but thats too over priced. he then said hell sell me a b20 for 2200. at that point Im mad but i still kept my cool and told him good luck on selling that too high school kids. lmfao dumb

 

when looking for a motor make sure u get an ob1(92-96)H22a I prefer JDM but avoid getting an obd2 motor & ecu the anti theft immobilizer is a problem doing the swap on ek & eg civics with (97-01)h22a4&7 engines.
A H swap aint smog legal so look for an obd1 motor.
