i just bought a b16A2 with a GSR trans that has a 2000 Civic Si shift linkage.. Question is will this SI shift linkage bolt up in my 1994 civic LX that i am planning to put the motor in? i have looked around and the only think i have found is that people are using integra shift linkages.
But i need to know if the si linkage will work because the guy i bought the motor from said everything should be plug and play but after some research i am starting to develop some quiestions??

 

Yes, 99-00 Si shift linkage is compatible, with 92-00 Civic and 94-01 Integra B-series motor/tranny swaps. Only one that is not compatible is Del Sol B16A linkage.

I'm looking to get a short throw shifter and with the shift linkage being out of a 2000 SI do I get a short throw for a 2000 SI or for the car it's going in which is a 94 LX?

 

You get a shifter for the linkage as it part of the assembly. But as a side note 94-01 integra 99-00 civic si shifter is interchangeable. D-series shifters are narrower and will have 1/2"play if used in b-series linkage, so do not do it.

just wondering when you are talking about civic si are you talking about usdm si or canadian sir.. i have the same issue, gsr tranny in a ej hatch, i need a new shift linkage, not sure which one to order

 

IIRC the Canadian 99-00 Civic SiR is the same as the USDM 99-00 Civic Si

 

yes, im sorry i didnt make myself clear, i referenced them both together in my head, but what im unsure about is if they were talking about the usdm si, or canadian si, i dont know why i wrote sir, my apologies

 

They were referring to the USDM Si.
