I don't think there are any problems with my car, but just for fun I jumped the diagnostic trigger under the dash, and set the ignition to ON. My CEL light dosen't do anything, but the SRS light blinks repetedly in no pattern. It just steadily blinks. Does my airbag system need serviced? Should the CEL light do anything if there are no error codes? I understand if that's normal, but I'm weirded out by the flashing SRS.

well my srs light was on and the dealer fixed it for free, the tech at honda told me that they have to fix it for free. but maybe its diffrent where you are??

 

everything is normal. if there was a problem SRS light would stay on. it automatically blinks when you trip the CEL diag mode.
