So my ITR with 113k miles has started clicking when I turn left. Going straight or turning right no problems. It speeds up with increasing speed. No other symptoms that I'm aware of.
I got under there and checked the CV boots, they look fine even though they're original. I tugged on the axles and I get nothing on the passenger side one but I have some play in the driver's side one. For this video the car's weight is on the tires (not on jack stands) and the wheel is turned all the way left.
Can anyone tell me if this is a normal amount of play or is this a smoking gun to replace the driver's side axle? I've never tugged on it when i knew it was good to see what is normal.

It's a little weird because I thought generally if you turn left and get clicking that means it's the passenger CV? If there's any other test I can do I'd appreciate the help, I'm not very experienced with axles and cv joints, especially fwd. Thanks for the help.

Crap! Thanks though I appreciate the input!
Anyone have a way to see for sure if CV joints or axles are good/bad? As far as I can tell from research if the boot is good then there's really no way to tell for sure.

I think I found it. Wheel bearing's toast.
Moral of the story: If cv boots are good and you've got clicking on turning check the wheel bearings.
