99 Accord.....transmission or something issue....
I hope that this is the right section for this thread.... but here we go....
I have a 99 accord EX with a auto ( a BAXA trans )
The problem that I am having is that, when Im going down the road and before it with hit 2nd the rpms with jump.
Mid way thru 2nd gear it would do it again before 3rd....
With 3rd, 4th, etc doing the same.
What done with the car is:
Replaced two solenoid(s)
( one under the battery tray and the one by the trans line in front, these are the double ones )
Checked the other two
( which 5they work and no problem there and tested )
Cleaned all the screens/filters on them
( even the new ones )
Rebuilt the transmission
( explains itself )
Replaced throttle body
( which was giving the code for it with the computer )
Fluid is at normal level....
What else can give it this problem.... Im about fid up with this car thinking that it didnt need work....

And the wifes coming back in Like 13 days ( which its HER car )

If the rpms are jumping its slipping most likely.
If the transmission was rebuilt did they use oem Honda DW-1 fluid?
Maybe you can drain 3 qts old fluid and refill with 3 qts of DW-1 Honda fluid and repeat it total of 3 or 4 times after like 100 miles each drain and refill. To get all the other fluid completely out. These trannys need oem Honda fluid dont believe anybody when they say you dont have to use oem Honda Fluid.
My 99 i bought was slipping bad couldnt go any where after it got hot but with the a/c fans on above 90 deg. outside and drained out all the orilleys tranny fluid previous owner put in and put oem honda fluid i got 20,000 more miles out of the tranny and i drove it a hard 20,000 miles and it was still going even after it got totaled i probably could have got another 10 or 15 thousand if some Jack a** pick up truck driver didnt back into my rear quarter panel and rip open my trunk lol.
If that doesnt work then the tranny is on its way out or may just do this for a long time before it completely goes but signs of slipping while changing gears is the clutches are bad or wrong fluid
99-02 accords 4 cylinder and v6s have serious problems with the trannys
Good luck

i bought the fluid from the dealer at 8 a bottle....
I talked to a few guys at the local car show and they said it might be the ICA mod near the throttle body....
SO I ll find out if that works on Monday after work .....
