Hi- I hope someone can help me. I have a 1996 Civic EX. Cooling fan switches keep failing. I have replaced this component 3 times now. I have checked the cooling fan function by shorting the end of the 2P connector. No problems there. Because the fan comes on when I do this check, I assume the relay and fuse are OK too. The switch seems to last only a couple of hours before failing (fan doesn't come on when temp goes up). I have pulled the switch each time and checked for continuity by placing in boiling water and checking with a multi-meter. Each time the switch appears to have failed. Does anyone know what could cause the switch to fail so quickly and often?
