98 CX upper hose clamps
howdy, i just bought a new upper hose and new clamps for my 98 CX, and was wondering why they list two different clamps? 1 part for the engine side, and a totally different one for the radiator? the price on one is $4 while the other is $1. i just received them, and they look exactly the same, no noticable difference in clamping strength. is honda just trying to rip consumers off on in house repairs?

Here I go guessing again lol...
Im convinced that they probably have different tension on each on as one side will be mounted to aluminum casting, and the other will be clamped on a plastic tanked radiator.
And the actual ID of the clamp might even be sized minutely different for the hose and the extremities they clamp the hose to.
shot in the dark, but I will tell you one thing, if they were indeed the same part, they would share the same part number and price.
