Questions about swapping a d15b2 in place of a d15b1
I was just sold a d15b2 (dual point)motor/5speed from a crx to replace the d15b1 and 4 speed in my 91 ef civic. I have a multi-point head sitting in my garage that i would like to swap over also.
Is there anything that I should worry about before I make this swap over. Is this a direct swap over? Will this be a direct swap?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much.

Heads are all the same, difference is in the camshaft and springs. Everything is a direct swap but you have to make sure that if you use the A6 camshaft in a 1.5 block you use the Y7/8 gear or adjustable cam gear.
I think I'm going to just swap the whole motor over. I was informed that I can get better gas mileage and performance after going to the d15b2 with the the multi point swap.
I'm doin the same swap only staying with the pgmfi set-up.. So I need a pm5 ecu? What about my std wiring same distributor & wire harness as the dx right? Only change is the ecu right? Any input is appreciated..
yes everything is a direct swap.
i agree with 24ten everything is the same. id rather swap camshaft and do the mpfi swap.
basically your doing the samething just swapping in the b2.

Ok, I know this will be a silly question but is there a write up on swapping out the cam? And possibly the MPFI swap? Thank you very much.
I'm just trying to keep it simple.. I'm going remanufactured long block but I want the extra hp.. I'm looking at quite a bit already.. Anybody know of any reasonable places that sell reman motors?
