my intermittent wipers will work when turned on ,then they pretty much do what they want, work sometimes other times i have to wait

through a search i read it's due to bad capacitors on the icu which is under the fuse panel?

is this part no longer available from honda?

or anyone else?

ICU controls the Inter. Wipers. Big grey gameboy looking box on the back of your under dash fuse panel, should have a big A or B depending on which one. Junkyard is where i always get them from or you can call Honda and ask.

 

this is called the mcu, multifunction control unit is it not?

i'm pretty sure the ignition control unit is in the diz?

 

It's called the ICU for 4th generation Civics.

You could also have a bad switch, which can be cleaned.
