Default Koni yellow question

I currently have the progress cs2 with the 350/500 rates and I was wondering if I could run the sleeves and springs on the koni yellows. I'd like to run the konis for the adj. damper. But don't want to spend the money on the gc sleeves If I have too. Just need to know the outside dia. Of the yellows and the inside of the progress cs2 sleves dia.

I've only found info on the 01+ models. They went 50mm to 55mm.

Then you should have bought adjustable shocks in the first place instead of trying to cannibalize a perfectly good set of Progress. The Progress are a perfectly matched combo. Not very smart and poor planning on your part. For someone not wanting to spend more money that seems to be PRECISELY what you are doing.

Not true I have 350/500 set. And all the progress shocks run the same damper. Love the rates but the damper is too soft I'm just looking for a better damper. I'd have them revalved but they can not do that with these. Cannibalizing is a bit drastic. They r similar to the konis just minus the damper. It's trial and error. If this doesn't work I'll sell the whole set. Seems like u just want to chim in with non useful info. I've done my research. Only thing I need is koni diameter. But again my car. Not yours.

BUT PUBLIC FORUM DOE.
How is it NOT cannibalizing? You're taking the sleeves from a set of Progress and are proposing to fit them to a set of Koni shocks that they were NOT MADE FOR.
If it doesn't work you'll sell the whole set? And do what? Buy a set of GC/Konis? Why not just go ahead and do that in the first place?
Do what you like. I think it's a stupid idea and a waste of money.

Who says they won't fit. I'm not destroying a set of these coilovers. The cg and progress sleeves are almost identical both run same spring size both can use stock top hats if anything I'll have a extra set of shocks. When I bought the progress I bought them for the spring rates I thought the dampers would be adjusted to the spring rates. But they r not. I'm trying to contribute something to this forum for people that own these and would like to upgrade to adjustable damper. I have this set y not try.

Reading comprehension. Where did I say they would not fit? I said they were not MADE FOR your hybrid application. All you're contributing right now is a thread to show people how to buy the wrong coilover because you didn't ask the right questions beforehand and then how to spend more money trying to cobble together a solution that mimics the combo you SHOULD have bought in the first place.

Everybody has bought something and then wish they had bought something else **** i even bet u have. My car from how it sits now and when I bought these has changed dramatically. It was good then and it's still good now. Just want to add a feature to my current setup. The one thing I love is the spring rates. I wish I could just revalve them but it's not in the cards. And if I could save 300+ and run the spring rates I like why not try.

Yes I have bought **** parts and have had to replace them. I wish I didn't. I wish someone was there to tell me not to. But there wasn't. That is why I try to warn people about repeating the stupid mistakes I have. But again, hard heads make for soft asses my grandfather used to say.

Do what you like.
